Paid Search FAQ’s

What is paid search?

PPC, shortened from pay per click, is a form of online advertising where you show ads on various platforms in order to drive high-quality traffic to your website, usually to generate sales and enquiries for your business.

Are PPC and paid search the same thing?

Well, sort of. The terms are often used interchangeably. To be more specific, paid search relates to running ads on search engines, whereas PPC can be any form of pay per click advertising. For example, running ads on social media and search engines too. You could therefore say that paid search is a sub section of PPC.

What platforms can you run paid search ads on?

There are many platforms that allow advertisers to run pay per clicks ads. In general, you can divide these platforms into two camps. The first being search engines like Google and Bing, where you can promote ads based on user searches. Then there are social media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc that allow advertisers to run PPC ads using their advanced user profile targeting options.

Can you improve my current paid search accounts?

We’re confident we can! The majority of our clients come to us after being disappointed with the current results from their campaigns.

That’s why we complete audits of your existing accounts to highlight the value we can add and to be sure that working with us will be a great step forward for your business.

What ad budgets do you work with?

We work with a range of PPC ad account budgets. Our lowest spending client has a spend of £500 a month, and our highest spending client spends £50k per month. £500 is our minimum ad spend, as any less can make it difficult to justify our management fee.

Am I guaranteed a return on investment from PPC?

There are so many factors that contribute to a strong return on investment from pay per click advertising. These are factors such as the quality of product or service, competition, past customer reviews, website, and so much more. With all that in mind, it’s impossible to guarantee a particular ROI. Although we can certainly provide estimates based on research and our experiences.

Do I retain ownership of the advertising account?

Yes, of course! We’re super transparent at Repeat Digital. You’ll always have full access and ownership of your PPC accounts. That means you can see everything we do inside the account. In the unlikely event that we part ways, you will retain the account and all the associated data.
