Remarketing is a must as it re-engages potential customers after they’ve left your website. You probably invested money to get them onto your site in the first place, so why let the journey end there?
How does Remarketing Work?
Basically, it works by creating audiences of people who have visited your website by tagging them with cookies. Once they’re in your audience you can start serving them eye catching display ads across the internet (or Facebook), reminding them about your brand and providing them with some of the benefits or special offers. Have a look at this Google Adwords remarketing example.
Google Remarketing or Facebook Remarketing?
You can remarket using Google Adwords or Facebook Ads. Google remarketing shows ads on the Google Display Network, which covers around 90% of the internet! While Facebook only retargets to Facebook users (including Instagram), however, Facebook has over 2 billion monthly users! They are both great platforms to run remarketing ads from and we would suggest using both. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the differences.
- Minimum audience size of 100 website visitors is needed.
- Shows ads all over the internet.
- Generally, requires more professional design work.
- Minimum audience size of 25 website visitors is needed.
- Shows ads on Facebook and Instagram.
- Even cheaper.
- Can get started with just a simple picture.
We briefly mentioned Facebook remarketing in a previous blog post. Here’s an example of it in action. Buying a new conservatory is obviously a big decision to make and may take a few days or weeks to commit, meaning that Facebook remarketing is a great way to keep those customers engaged and also to promote any deals or benefits you may have.
If you’re not currently remarketing, why not? It’s so cheap and powerful, it’s definitely worth considering. Give us a call if you have any questions or would like to talk about our remarketing services.
